Gigi Navon - R.I.P
From the group of founders. Retired Lieutenant, Married +3, resident of Yavne. Gigi had the idea of establishing the association. One of the soldiers’ apartments is named after his son Shahar, who served in a paratroopers patrol and fell while serving in reserves. Gigi helps a lot with raising funds for friends and also gives performances as a storyteller.
Miri Kassif
Member of the association, from the group of founders. Resident of Yavne for 35 years and is an accomplished artist. She has taught art at a number of academic institutions in Israel. Miri presents her works in museums and galleries in Israel as well as around the world. She was a member of the Executive Committee of the Israel Art Association for many years. Social and community activist in Rotary, Friends of the Art Workshop Association and more.
Hai Ben Israel
Chairman of the association, from the group of founders. Retired Col. Resident of Yavne, Industrial Engineering and Management, holds a Masters in Business Administration
Yossi Cohen - R.I.P
One of the founding members, Yossi was a central figure in the organization’s activities. He worked his entire life for the benefit of others, fully volunteering, did much for the lone soldiers and devoted his whole soul to them. Passed away on August 26, 2025.
Menahem Adoni
Member of the association, from the group of founders. Retired Lieutenant Colonel, Married +3, resident of Yavne. Industrial and Management Engineer, Masters in Business Administration.
Gideon Perry
Member of the association, from the group of founders. IDF Retired Lieutenant Colonel, Resident of Yavne and married with seven cute grandchildren. For the past ten years, I have been a full-time “pensioner”, ever since I have endeavored to volunteer and help the community.” A member of the Yavne staff management team and the municipal rescue unit, the Yavne embraces individual soldiers and other organizations.
Danny Alcalay
Member of the association, from the group of founders. Retired Lt. Col. Engineer, owner and CEO of a company engaged in the development of ruggedized electronic / military systems until 2010. Currently an independent consultant in the field including development, design and engineering analyzes. Volunteer in the field of education in the city as part of a Rotary club.
Ruth Gantz
Association member, married, mother of 3 children, lives in Yavne. Director of Welfare, Advertising and PR at Manrav.
Jacob Perry
Member of the association, from the group of founders. Married + 4, lives in Yavne since 1982. Zionist and traditional education. Military service in the Air force. Worked for 20 years in the aerospace industry managing teams and
projects in the field of technical literature. Today working as freelance in this field.
Active for many years in various volunteer and community outreach setting.
Adv. Adi Yankelwitz
Association member, married and a father of two daughters, has lived in the green neighborhood since 2013 and in Yavne in general since 1995. He works in the legal department of the Carasso Motors Group.
Doya Gov-Ari
Psychologist, responsible for the sorting and psychological counseling of soldiers in the association. Has rich clinical experience from the Air Force and many years of work as a psychologist in the psychological service in Yavne and Rehovot, in recent years runs a private clinic in Yavne. Married and mother of 3 sons.
Lior Glamidi
Association member, married +4, born and raised resident of Yavne, holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, owns a business of building materials and home products.
